Answers, not sales talk

Questions owners actually ask.

Setup, your till and diary, the AI on the phone, who owns the data, what it costs. These are the real questions we get on calls — grouped, not cherry-picked — with a plain answer to each and a link to see it in full.

Every answer here is our real policy today, not a roadmap. Where a demo is shown elsewhere on the site, the venue — “The Local Kitchen” — is a demonstration build; the product it demonstrates is real.

Getting started

Live in a week, built for you

How long does setup take before we’re live?
Five business days from the day we agree to go, and we build the whole thing from your existing web address — so there’s very little for you to do. If we miss that window, your first month is free.
What do you actually need from us to start?
Your web address, and about fifteen minutes on a call. We build your menu, your site and your receptionist from what’s already public about your venue, then you check it all over before anything goes live. Book the free audit to start.
Do we need to buy new hardware, a tablet or a card machine?
No. There’s nothing new to install and no kit to buy — it runs on the phones and tablets you already have, and it sits alongside your existing till and card machine rather than replacing them. See how the interactive menu works with your current setup.
Do our guests have to download an app?
Never. Everything a guest touches — the menu, the loyalty card, a booking — opens in their phone’s browser from a QR code or a link. There’s no app for them to download and no account to create.
Your till & diary

Keep what already works

Do we have to change our till or EPOS?
No — keep the till you have. GotRegulars sits alongside it, so your team carry on ringing sales through exactly as they do now. Nothing about your payments or your day-to-day service changes. It adds the menu and ordering; it doesn’t replace your EPOS.
How does the kitchen see an order that comes in through the menu?
Three ways, all included: a full-screen kitchen display on any tablet or phone that chimes until an order is acknowledged, a printed ticket on a standard ticket printer beside your till, and an email copy of every order. Allergy notes print in capitals. It’s all covered on the interactive menu page.
We already use OpenTable, ResDiary or SevenRooms — will this clash?
No. It never holds a table itself. When you keep an external diary — OpenTable, ResDiary or SevenRooms — the AI receptionist takes the request and you confirm it with one tap, so your diary stays the single source of truth and you’re never double-booked.
Will it write to our booking diary without us knowing?
Only when you want it to. Where you keep your own book, a new request reaches you as a notification — it doesn’t touch your diary until you tap Confirm. The table is only ever held once you say yes, so nothing is seated twice. See how confirmation works.
The AI receptionist

Safe on your phone, in your voice

Is the AI receptionist safe to answer our phone?
Yes. It only says what it knows from your live menu, opening hours and policies — it never invents availability or makes something up. Anything unusual, it hands to a human, passing on the caller’s number so you can call them straight back. More on the AI receptionist.
Does it really answer 24/7?
Yes — around the clock, including mid-service when the phone would otherwise ring out, and after you’ve closed for the night. Every call is answered, so a booking is never lost to a missed call or a busy line. The receptionist answers the moment the phone rings.
What happens on an unusual call — a big party or a complaint?
It hands the call to a person. A large party, a complaint, a supplier, anything off-script — it passes the call on with the caller’s number, so a human can ring straight back rather than the assistant guessing at an answer. It’s fenced to what it actually knows.
Does it answer in a robot voice, or as our venue?
In your venue’s own voice — warm, on-brand, and briefed on how you like calls handled. The very same assistant also sits on your website as a chat, so guests who’d rather type can ask a question and book there instead.
Guests & data

The relationships stay yours

Who owns the guest data — the bookings, orders and loyalty members?
You do. Every booking, order, review and loyalty member is yours, and you can export the lot as a CSV whenever you like. We’re the software; the guest relationships and the data belong to your venue. Your loyalty members live in one guest list you own.
Can we take our data with us if we ever leave?
Yes. Your guest list and history are always yours to export as a CSV — there’s no lock-in and nothing held hostage. If you ever cancel, you leave with your data. It’s set out plainly in our privacy terms.
Do you post reviews or reply to them as us without asking?
No. We help you capture the happy guests and draft calm replies to the rest, but nothing is published in your name without your say-so. We never write, buy or fake reviews, and we never bury the critical ones. Here’s how reviews and reputation work.
Pricing & cancelling

One fee, no lock-in

How much does it cost?
£350 a month is the all-in reference figure in our published Offer. We finalise the exact amount with each venue once we know which of the seven parts you’re taking, so it isn’t a one-size-fits-all list price. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.
Is there a setup fee, a per-cover fee or booking commission?
None of them. No setup fee, no per-cover fee, and no commission on a booking — the monthly figure is everything in. We don’t quietly take a slice of your covers or your bookings on the side. See what’s included.
Is there a contract, or can we cancel any time?
You can cancel any time — it simply doesn’t renew, with no penalty and no contract to escape. And there’s a full 30-day money-back guarantee, so your first month carries no risk at all. It’s all on the pricing page.
What’s included for the monthly fee?
All seven parts of the system — the interactive menu, reels, loyalty, reviews, the website and local SEO, and the AI receptionist — plus setup, support and updates. One monthly figure, everything in. See the whole system.
Fit

Is it right for our kind of place?

Does this work if we don’t take bookings?
Yes. Much of what the system does — the interactive menu, loyalty, reviews and the website — has nothing to do with a booking diary. The receptionist still answers questions and takes orders even where there’s no table to reserve.
We’re a café, pub or bar rather than a restaurant — is it for us?
Yes. It’s built for independent hospitality of every kind — cafés, pubs, bars, delis and restaurants alike. The parts you don’t need, you simply don’t switch on. Take a look at the full system.
We already have a website — do we have to replace it?
Not unless you’d like to. Many venues take the receptionist, menu or loyalty on their own and keep the site they have. If you do take the website, it’s bespoke to your brand and built to get you found on Google.
